Rev. 4 A Kidd resigns as Clifton Baptist Church pastor after four and a half years to accept a call to Des Demon Baptist Church. Congregation thanks him for building the church and prays for his future success.
The pastor is away and pulpit will be supplied this Sunday. Services at 11 p m and 2 00 p m. Usual programs include Sunbeam Band, Senior B Y P and Bible Class. Prayer Service Wednesday night. District Conference at McGregear May 7 and 8 led by George F Kornegay, Pastor.
Austin April 22 The Texas Legislature will be called in a special session next Monday by the governor to consider a constitutional amendment to permit discharged soldiers to vote. The session will also consider a law for remitting poll taxes under the constitution’s emergency provision.
