Prescher dominated Clifton High School sports with standout rushing and kicking on football teams and a sprinting record on track. He led the 1967 Cub grid squad, starred in 1968 semis, posted a 10.1 100 yard dash and a 50.1 440, and tallied 283 carries for 2,253 yards with 31 touchdowns as a senior. He also starred in punt returns, kickoffs, and occasional receptions, earning All-District honors and recognition on regional all-state selections.

Warren reports local support for a hospital building fund as Clifton volunteers, including Mr and Mrs C H Rose, plan a garage sale to funnel proceeds into the drive. He notes pledges have risen since the campaign began and urges remaining residents to contribute before the deadline.
List of Clifton area events from May 1 to May 27 includes concerts meetings and club gatherings at Bettis Auditorium Clifton City Hall Lane s Chapel and various homes with times such as 7 30 p m 2 00 p m and 9 50 a m featuring groups like Clifton High Concert Band Clifton Cemetery Association PTA Busy Bee H D Club and American Cancer Society unit meeting at First Baptist Church.
The Hill Junior College bands and choir completed a three day tour through North Central Texas and Oklahoma. Students from Wichita Falls area joined the trip with performances at Joshua High School Cleburne High School and Grandview High School. The group visited Eisenhower's Birth Place and stayed at the Holiday Inn in Denison. They performed in Denton and Lake Texoma near Kingston before returning to Hillsboro. Plans for a larger Spring 70 tour are under way, financed by Sigma Phi Omega HL JY Music Club.
The Clifton Cemetery Association will hold its annual meeting on Saturday May 3 at 2 pm in Clifton City Hall Dining Room. All interested individuals are urged to attend.

Twenty nine members met at Clifton City Hall on April 22 to adopt by laws. New officers are Mrs. W. T. Holder and Mrs. Don Gloff. Dues set at $1 beginning May 27. Charter members include forty ladies from Clifton Valley Mills and Crayfills Gap. Sixteen new members listed. Committees named Telephone Yearbook Library Social Hospitality. Volunteer service hours urged. by laws being prepared for each member.
Clifton track stars prepare for the state meet at Abilene with two Mile Relay teams and the 440 Relay advancing. Larry Sorenson and Bobby Ramey led the boys with regional records as Sorenson eyes the state mark of 4:25.0. Girls relay squads led by Diane Burns Linda Moore Merna Peterman and Patty Gauntt broke regional records in the 440 and Mile Relays, aiming for state records as Clifton seeks its first state in two seasons.
