George A Gott is named district manager for Lone Star Gas Company in the Clebur ne district with headquarters in Cleburne. He will succeed the late Homewood Smith and oversee Britton Burleson Cleburne Clifton Duffey Parry Hemp Masfield Meriding Morgan Valley Mills and Walnut Springs. Gott, a native of Melton, has held prior Lone Star posts in Cameron Handley Arlington and Nel ight on and is active in church and civic affairs. He is married to Dulcie Riddle of Bellville and they have two sons.

The CTittan Junior College Cowboys travel to Tifton City Park for a Friday April 11 track and field meet. Competing teams include Navarro JC, Hillsboro JC, John Tarleton, NTAC, and Clifton JC. This will be the Cowboys first track event of the year as coach M Q Juel expects a creditable showing based on early season form.
