Men and boys from six towns in Beague County attended Clifton City Hall March 19 1845 for the first meeting of the Three Course Training School. Scout Executive J A Gaskin Temple Field Executive Foust Nobles Mexia and Roy Esly led the session teaching knot-tying troop planning and meeting organization to improve Scoutmasters and junior officers.
More than two hundred volunteers from Trinity Lutheran Clifton Our Savior’s Lutheran Norse St. Off Lutheran Cranula Gap plus campus groups worked on campus projects. They graded streets leveled athletic fields removed bricks salvaged materials painted study tables and landscaping. Food was provided by church groups and volunteers thanked the city for support. Estimated improvements valued around two thousand dollars were added by the day’s labor.

E W Capps owner of the Cliftex Theater hare purchased most of Blacklands theater equipment from Blackland Army Air Field Wato The purchase aims to outfit a larger more modern Clifton theater building expected to remove the need to turn away patrons due to seating limits.
The Texas Dairy Products Association will sponsor seven district meetings starting March 19 for dairy farmers manufacturers and buyers to explain new State Board of Health regulations on milk and cream production and marketing. Ms Raines of the State Board of Health and Bt. & Mo co manager of the association will lead most of the discussions at the Waco session scheduled for 10 am March 21 in the Chamber of Commerce Auditorium.
