Valerie Goodall to Sing at Waco Symphony Pop Concert
Valerie Goodall Mooney daughter of Dr and Mrs Van Doren Goodall of Clifton will be guest soloist for the Waco Symphony Orchestra Pop concert in Waco Hall on Friday March 26 at 8 15 PM. She will sing an aria from Die Fledermaus and songs from Porgy and Bess the Chocolate Soldier and The Three Penny Opera. San ford Margolis Baylor concert pianist will play Rhapsody in Blue with the orchestra. Mrs Money is a local product who made good in opera and operetta in Europe and America. She is Baylor music graduate and holds a masters in voice performance from Colorado. After study in New York under Madame Novikova she joined the Opera Company of Graz Austria as leading lyric soprano for four years until 1968. Since 1969 she has taught at Rutgers Douglas College and freelances in Europe and the U S. In Europe she appeared in the Festival of Flanders and with Giuseppe di Stefano in Expo 67. She has performed in Bern Moerbisch and Geneva and last season in Milwaukee.

Sam Logan editor of The Clifton Record has been a patient at Goodall-Witcher Hospital since Thursday morning March 11. He reported Wednesday morning to be responding to treatment and hopes to return to work soon. He thanks those who sent flowers cards and letters and asks to be back in circulation shortly.

Missionary from West Africa to Speak at Methodist Church
William H. Crow, a retired General Dynamics engineer turned United Methodist missionary, will speak at First United Methodist Church on March 24 at 7 15 p m. Crow served 26 years at General Dynamics before going to GanIa Liberia to modernize electrical systems for a large mission center and expand to a leprosarium nearby. He and his wife were active in Arlington Heights Church in Fort Worth, fueling his missions interest.

License Plate Sales Lagging in Bosque County

First Baptist Church Honors Seniors at Final 1971 Clifton Banquet
Seniors of Clifton High School were honored at a March 11 1971 banquet in the church Education Building hosted by First Baptist Church women led by Mrs Carl Remington. The theme The Little Red Schoolhouse featured old school books and period costumes as teachers Mrs Fathisi Ressdale and Mrs Rui Carrrell performed. Baylor University interim pastor addressed the seniors and teachers with remarks while Mrs W Th Murter offered the invocation. A church group served a meal of tossed salad fried chicken green beans potato salad iced tea and apple pie.
