R L Rowe died June 20 1988 at Eastland Sanitarium after illness. A Kentucky native, he moved to Texas in 1901. Funeral at Church of Christ Eastland with Rev Waller. Burial June 21 at East Inn Cemetery. He organized the 61st Church of Christ in Eastland and was active in church and poetry.

The community mourns Pernell Wollum age unknown after a gasoline tank explosion aboard a rock he was driving. He died hours later. He was the son of Ole and Mrs Wollum of Boggy community.
