Star Installs Mircers Here Jane 14

The Star chapter installed officers led by Grand Matron Evelyn Radsiyet of Regina Chapter AK and Worthy Matron Mrs. Evelyn Radsiyet as the installing grand officer. Officers attended with ornate attire and guests from Cuttan Valley Mills Waco Walnut Springs and Lawposas joined the ceremony. Refreshments followed the service with star shaped cookies and fruit punch for about 85 attendees.

Rev Briggs Assigned To Bartlett Church

Reverend Briggs, longtime pastor of the Methodist Church here, was appointed minister of the Methodist Church in Bartlett. The new assignments were announced Sunday by Bishop William at the Fort Worth conference. Briggs also becomes lay director of temperance education for the Georgetown District. Other changes include ministers reassigned to St John’s Georgetown and Fort Worth churches, with several former local pastors moving to Coleman and Polytech Church Fort Worth.

Dies At Fairy June 8 Bernt Anderson

Bernt C Anderson died at 10 20 am Thursday June 8 at his daughter Mrs Morris Fields home in Fairy. Born February 18 1890 near Cranfills Gap he was son of the late Alfred and Bergtte Anderson. He married Ming Cor Matilda Pederson and had four daughters and one son. Surviving are his wife three daughters Ada Mae Fields of Fairy Adrien Dansby of Waco Frances Cummings of California and Tom Anderson of Fort Worth two brothers Decay and Albert Anderson of Cranfills Gap and many grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 pm Friday at the Morris Fields home in Fairy and at St Olaf Lutheran Church.
