Obituary of Seljos with Texas church burial
Seljos born January 12 1849 (?) came to America in 1881 first in New York then Waco for three years. He later farmed in the Brennagan/Norse area and married Tore Sysiungaon on April 22 1895 on their farm. Interment followed at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery after services at Trinity Lutheran Church conducted by Rev. Benjamin A Mankested.

Y. D. Goodall Dies After Illness at 80
Y D Goodall, 80, father of Mrs Jaf Chitton, died at the hospital after a long illness. Funeral services were held at 5 pm Monday. He had been active in the community and visited many business people. Survived by his wife, daughter, two sisters, and others.

Lions Elect Officers Hear Clifford Day
Clifton Lions Club elected officers for the coming year with L B Tennison as president and S J Witcher B W Capps and Cecil Coston as vice presidents. Bill McCown became secretary treasurer and Clement Kincheloe along with Arthur Hyles were named lion tamer and tail twister. The club reported income of 1949.08 from dues and fines and expenses of 1743.25 leaving 200.81. Clifford Day spoke on farm program issues and soil conservation efforts in Bosque County highlighting terracing ditching and pasture improvements funded by the county amounting to about 82675 spent this year. Congress debates the agriculture bill affecting available funds for next year.

Enrollment at CIC Hits All Time High This Summer
Citton Junior College reports summer enrollment of 35, a record for the season. The college will receive an Army building from Camp Bowie in Brownwood, 110 by 40 feet, to be moved and erected at the Main Building area for manual training instruction. Two dormitory rooms are underway for fall as the project proceeds with aid from Congressman Bob Pouge.
