Oscar J. Rea reports Clifton Texas hosting a grand Trade Day with an estimated four to five thousand attendees. The event featured a big stock show with prize winners from Bosque Valley Stock Farm and local entrants, a parade with decorated rigs, prize lists for livestock, and a hard fought baseball game between Valley Mills and McGregor. Public enthusiasm and community pride marked the day, praised for its pluck and enterprise.
News of Mrs P E Thorson dying after a lingering illness. Funeral services held at Clifton Lutheran and Presbyterian churches with relatives from Wisconsin and California attending. Mention of her husband and two daughters Elia and Agnes, aged 11 and 9, in Clifton since 1907. Also notes on a Mr Merritte A Albergy and a distant relative in the Confederate Hove area, plus a near drowning incident involving the Curry family.
