Acting on orders from headquarters the striking linemen and electricians announced that Fort Worth street lights would not be allowed to burn tonight. Opium Seized Hidden in Castor Oil Caseload
Six cases of opium, each with fifteen small cans, were seized by customs in Galveston. The drugs were concealed inside six five gallon cans of crude castor oil, shipped from Mexico to New York via Galveston, with Laredo as the entry point. Special agent H. S. Creighton and Laredo officials led the investigation. no arrests have been made and the opium is held by authorities.
