Court considers USDA loan option for jail funding in Hillsboro
John Smith of the USDA outlined financing paths for a proposed county jail contingent on the November vote. Options include a rural loan with rate lock if applied now, 40 year government bonds, possible grants, and a July rate, plus December bond close. The court approved 98 400.90 in county funds payments, elections costs rising, and variance and insurance bids settings. Also, polling places will open for the June 22 Senate Seat 22 election.
