Clifton Middle School seventh graders won a state Bar of Texas Law Related Education contest on school safety. The group including Bryce Wimmer Kelsey Ringo Justin Fields Brittney Townley Emily Olsen Luis Enriquez Wyatt Guinn and Katie Cummings proposed four corrective ideas and steps to implement them. The May 17 board session highlighted their achievement and project details.

Bosque County approves juvenile curfew for unincorporated areas
Bosque County Sheriff Anthony Mallet announces a new curfew approved by the Bosque County Commissioners. The measure targets residents under 17 in unincorporated Bosque County, citing rising youth crime. Curfew hours run 11 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and midnight to 6:30 a.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Meridian and Clifton already enforce similar rules.

Olsen Park Pool will open Monday May 31 with daily swim from 1 to 6 pm. Admission 4 dollars. season passes 125 for a family of four, 90 for double, 65 for single. Lessons cost 50 for two weeks.
