Mrs. C. M. Moore Recovering From Rattlesnake Bite
Mrs C M Moore was rushed to a local hospital Friday afternoon after being bitten on the right hand by a rattlesnake while gathering beans in the Maryt Springs community. She is recovering at home and expected to return this week. A county advisory committee appointed by regional officials will assist in operating rehabilitation and purchase programs from the United States Department of Agriculture.

Mrs A W Vickrey Dies at Lane's Chapel Age 73
Mrs. A W Vickrey, 73, died at her home in the Lane's Chapel community south of Clifton on Wednesday after a brief illness. Funeral services were held at the family residence with C Williams, pastor of the Moshetm Ind Lane's Chapel Methodist churches, officiating and interment in the local cemetery. She leaves seven children and many relatives.

Mrs Carl M Surley a longtime Clifton area resident died Tuesday morning after a stroke. Born January 18 1655 in Désleoy Norway she came to Texas with her husband settling near Crawford and later near Clifton. She was a devoted Christian mother with nine surviving children and a large family.
