Native grasses stage comeback on Flat Top Ranch
Bosque Soil Conservation District supervisors visit Flat Top Ranch at Walnut Springs to review range improvements. G O Hedrick notes mowing and grazing management lifted forage quality, with sprinkler and contour irrigation aiding alfalfa and tall grasses. Local farmers and technicians observed Cedar brush control and windmill plans as part of a sustained conservation effort begun in 1943.
