A local project advances with a modern brick and glass front building planned for Clifton. The structure will enhance the district and is tied to nearby developments and improvements.
Galiews wehtball team won four games to win Walnut Ameation Softball Teams. Walnut Springs finished second with a 3 dincinated score. Clifton and Meridian figures show in uneven results. Billy Stryker pitched for Clifton in multiple victories with Holme Jack Hoffman Tennl Grimland Prince and others contributing.
Reverend W L Shawneeworns of Park Memorial Baptist Church Houston comes to Clifton as guest evangelist for a two week revival beginning Sunday July 20 at the local Baptist Church. Other area churches join with schedules through August 3 with morning and evening services and community singer involvement.
Mrs Caroline Kane a long time resident of Texas died at home near Clifton on Thursday July 18 at 8 15 am. The obituary notes her birth March 20 1862 in Nowe Paka Ceschoslovakia and her emigration to the United States landing in New York then moving to Moulton and San Antonio before settling in Beogus County where she lived recently. Funeral arrangements are pending with Mrs A P Chote of Aue assisting. Visiting relatives were in the home of Mr and Mrs Mos as recorded.
Clifton outslugged Meridian 9 7 in a night game under the lights. Morrow and Bear led Clifton pitching while Muse Hele and Massingale contributed key hits including a two run homer. A large crowd saw Clifton rally after Meridian scored in the second as Ingram and Fuqua held the visitors. The Mackey Spangie family noted at Humble Oil Co near Franke in La.
Clifton FFA members David Dahl and Arno Dittrich earned top honors at the Bate Convention in Sweetwater. Dahl received the Lone Star Partner award for livestock and crop records. Dittrich’s name was submitted for the American Farmer honor to be decided at the National FFA Convention in Kansas City. Clifton’s chapter has produced several such winners since 1904 and crews plan summer projects including a hog exhibition for the State Fair in Dallas.
Clifton Texas cancels the annual Polled Hereford Show and Sale due to lack of cattle. The association thanks donors and Clifton businessmen for 1200 in premium money and plans a revived event next year while starting a new six duplex apartment project in northwest Clifton to ease housing shortages. Construction aims for August with full completion planned later.
The Clifton group aims to send young men to Nashville Tennessee for 40 to 60 days of training at Kiswell and Co. then return to Clifton to oversee a small local unit. They plan to train new skilled workers from the area under Noah Neale and Rivyte and Co. supervision, with a gradual hires plan as the operation grows.

Rev B R Maakentad officiated. reception at bride's parents home followed. couple to tour the Ti MeatTagt area and reside in Dallas after travel.
