Frankie Alexander dies from burns in Morgan tragedy
Frankie Alexander, 36, of Morgan, died after an oil stove exploded at the Lancher cottage. She was burned while the clothing she wore caught fire. She died Sunday morning in a Fort Worth hospital after eight months of illness. Survived by brother Son Alexander and two sisters Mrs. Karen Alexander of Childress and Mrs. Roy Bounds. Burial planned in Morgan with Robertson Mueller Undertaking Company in charge.

Counties to Get Auto Registration Fees Rules
Austin Texas July 12 It was held Saturday by Assistant Attorney Gen LG Botton that the commissions of County Tax Collectors on motor vehicle registration fees collected under the statute prior to the act of the Thirty Eighth Legislature are fees of affee to be accounted for under the fee bill on the usual way along with other fees Such commissions are not exempt from the provisions of the fee bill requiring three fourths of the rene teen to be paid to the county This opinion was given to J M Tylor county auditor at Corsicam It means that a large amount of money will be paid to the counties over the State unless the Tax Collectors can successfully resist it in the court

Mrs Esther V Extrem Orbeck, widow of C C Creek, was laid to rest after a lengthy illness. Funeral services at the Lutheran Church drew a large crowd of friends and family. Interment followed in the Lutheran cemetery. mourners include her mother, six sisters, four brothers, husband, and five children.

Gurls Club Encampment a Success at College Grounds
About 65 chub girls from nine clubs attended the Girls Encampment at GM Wittewey Dormitory. They toured Gray's Camping Grounds, enjoyed an afternoon swim, and returned for supper and stunt night. Winners in contests earned scholarships to the A and M College Furmore Short Course.
