Black Pee Wees defeated Crantfills Gap 9 to 3 sealing their berths in the All-Star game. Freshmen and Pee Wee All-Star teams will practice in Cufton Friday and Monday at 6 30 p.m. Admission for Crantills Gap game is 75 cents for adults and 50 cents for children to raise funds for trophies. Each league will place three players on the All-Star roster, coaches of second-place teams to guide the squads.
Descendants of Robins and Wilhelmina Hunger Schulz gathered at the American Legion Hall in Clifton City Park on Saturday July 1 for their annual reunion. An afternoon of visiting photos and games plus a barbecue dinner followed. Officers elected for two years were president Charles Rachurg vice president Carrol Schulz and secretary treasurer Wilma Schulz. Attendees listed include Hans Mansur Will J Krueger Sr and Jr Julie Mike Hoff Clifford Clifton and many Schulz relatives with visitors from Fort Worth Tyler Dallas Houston and Clifton.
The third annual Gunderson reunion for Ole and Karen Gunderson descendants will gather at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Norse on Sunday July 16. All relatives are urged to attend and bring a basket lunch for the noon meal.

About 425 Bosque County farmers received farm set-aside payments totaling 2767 740.0 in early July. Payments target reduced production under ASCS guidelines and cap individual awards at 550 000 per crop with final wheat payments after December 1. Local officials note accelerated payments ease credit needs and benefit rural economies. A Waco Social Security rep will visit Meridian Courthouse July 20 to assist with SS matters.
Memorial services for Rosa Cowen were held at Bleitz Funeral Home and Crematorium in Seattle on July 3, 1972, officiated by Rev. Gordon Jackson. She is survived by Hardy Cowen of Seattle, Washington, son Irwin Wentland of Akron, Ohio, and three grandchildren. Hardy Cowen is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jnc R Cowan. the couple were former First Presbyterian Church members in Clifton and former area residents.
The Lake Whitney Baptist Church plans dedication services Sunday July 16 at 2 30 p m at the church on FM 3ill near the Bluebonnet Art and Crafts Club A cordial invitation is extended by Rev Jim Robinson pastor to area residents to attend The dedication will be followed by refreshments
Clifton notes Mrs Adrian Foote of Turnersville transferred from Providence to St Luke's Houston where she will have open heart surgery to replace two heart valves. She is expected at St Luke's about three weeks and has been ill since February. Other local visits include Mrs Ruth Cotrell's daughter and El Paso visitors.
Wildlife film program at Laguna Park Church follows Sunday service under church oversight. Films include titles such as The Living Lake and Jumpeter Swan with a schedule listing dates in August September and early autumn.
The regular third Sunday singing will be held this Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Cufton Lutheran Counset Home. Everyone is invited to attend.
The Clifton Riding Club hosted a trail ride at the Bill Oswald Ranch on Sunday. Twenty one members attended the ride starting at the house and continuing through the ranch, ending with a watermelon cut after the ride.
