Voter Registration Drive Urges Bosque County to Register
Bosque County faces a looming January 31 deadline with only about 4 400 residents currently registered. County Tax-Assessor-Collector Earl Behringer notes one half of eligible voters have registered, with potential group of 6 000 to 7 000. Mrs Sam Radde Named New Chairman of County Historical Committee
The Bosque County Historical Survey Committee named Mrs Sam Radde as Chairman with Mrs George Brooks as Vice Chair and Alton Gandy as Secretary Treasurer. Clifton learns final Hill-Burton funding for a new $1.7 million hospital is expected between February 3 and 1 months, promising the town a top facility for its size. Jim Smith, head of the Goodall-Witcher Hospital Foundation, told Clifton Lions Club members the project will make Clifton the finest town of its size with a new two story, 92 bed hospital including nursery, operating rooms, ICU and emergency services.

Three Injured In Separate One Car Wrecks
Three people were injured in two separate one car accidents in Bosque County. Mrs Flo Seward 7 30 a m Monday was in a single vehicle crash at Wailing Bend Park Lake Whitney and treated for bruises then released. Ander son J Chappell 21 and his brother David 18 were injured when their car left Walnut Springs roadway and hit a telephone pole with both treated and released.
