Baptismal services for infant Lisa Loraine Howard were held at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clifton on Sunday morning January 23. Attending were Mr and Mrs Jerry Howard of College Station and Mr and Mrs Raymond Herzog and family of Houston with extended family from Clifton and Meridian. A baptismal dinner followed with many relatives present including Lisa Loraine's grandparents Mr and Mrs Donald Howard and numerous aunts uncles and cousins.

Mr and Mrs Helen C Aars took daughter Peggy and Miss Donna Greenwade to Texas Christian University in Fort Worth Monday night. Greenwade returned Friday and Aars Saturday. They finished finals Tuesday and Wednesday. Aars plans to leave Fort Worth Wednesday for Durango New Mexico on the TCU skiing trip during holidays and will return Sunday.

VFW Auxiliary Finishes Honor Roll Tasks in Clifton
Members of the Ladies Auxiliary of Robert E. Binford Post 8553 in Clifton completed Honor Roll requirements for November December and January. Activities included dues mailing to most members a 41 donation to the American Cancer Society and a 100 percent dues collection goal in December plus January March of Dimes participation. Four dollars was given to Memorial Chapel in Austin. Monthly hospital parties served about 265 veterans at the Waco VA Hospital with three teams of 36 women delivering meals. Family Nights were held on the second Saturdays with post furnishing the mat and auxiliary bringing covered dishes.
