Four Huntsville prisoners with 275 years total sentences present a youth guidance program in Clifton Bettis Auditorium on Monday February 7 at 2 pm and 8 pm for Bosque County students and educators. Chester R. McDougal 51 of 614 South Avenue Lin Clifton died at 5 15 am Monday January 31 after years of illness from a paralysis stroke and high blood pressure. Born February 21 1914 near Cranfills Gap he grew up east of Clifton in Womack and attended Pleasant Island Womack Schools. He married Takla Conrad in 1936 at Zion United Church of Christ Womack. they had one daughter Norida Culp.

Clifton High School band will host a 5:30 Friday Pancake Supper in the school cafeteria to benefit the band. Joe T. Cooper 48 a Clifton native died Saturday night January 29 at The Regis retirement home in Waco He had been a patient at Veterans Hospitals since World War II A son of Henry K Cooper and Lucille Tucker Cooper he was born November 18 1917 in Clifton A Clifton High School and Clifton Junior College alumnus he joined the U S Army in 1936 serving eight years with overseas duty in World War II He and Helen Scott of Cleburne married and had three sons Jerry Scott Cooper among others survived him with more details on the back page.
