Austin Texas January 18 Governor Hobby announced the personal staff now serving with fifteen civilians and three National Guard members. Names include Major W N Mayfield Houston Lieut Col B R Webb San Antonio Major E M Reardon Dallas and others from Fort Worth Wichita Falls El Paso and Austin with commissions to be issued.
The Clifton Mercantile Co promotes Bell Floral Co as agents for cut flowers and designs with 24 hour service for all orders. They invite customers to call anytime, large or small.
Waco Texas January 19 Professor R H Hill aged 62 founder and president of Hill's Business College and owner of large interest in Waco was found dead in bed at his home this morning. The physician summoned by the family said death.
Bragg Williams, a negro under death sentence for the Itasca murders, was taken from Hillsboro jail by a mob and burned at the stake after no appeal was filed. The crowd, about 300, watched as Williams was tied to a post and burned in the square, the body consumed in about forty minutes.
