Three Clifton youths Roy Tene higon Jr Franklin Onwald and Dud ley Mooney were nearly unharmed after a Ford coupe driven off the highway near Marlin caught fire. Mire G W Johnson, born April 1862 in Alabama, died at her son Lon Shay’s home in Wommek community shortly after midnight on Wednesday January 19 following a stroke. She had last appeared on January 1 and was survived by her husband, several children, and other relatives.
Mrs Oliver Bronstad born August 24 1914 at Valley Mills Texas died Wednesday January 19 in Providence Sanitarium Waco after injuries from a highway accident near Clifton January 16. She was 2 daughter of Mr and Mrs Reed Smith of Valley Mills and lived in Clifton after marriage. Funeral services at Valley Mills with Rev O Stanton, interment Valley Mills Cemetery. Sympathy offered to the Bronstad family.
Mrs Selmer Solberg dies after four years of poor health in Wade city sanitarium. An operation preceded her decline and a final sudden death occurred Wednesday. Survived by relatives and listed family links amidst a local community obituary notice.

Robert J. Buro, longtime Bosque County resident, died early Monday at his home near the Fairview community. Funeral services were held at his home and Zion Evangelical Church of Women, with interment at Chase Cemetery near Garnersville. Born November 6, 1884 in Washington County, he moved to Bosque County as a child and lived there the rest of his life. He married Auguste Kind in 1907 and is survived by three children, Mary, Dora, and Lorene, with lifelong membership in the Christian church and Zion Evangelical Church of Women.
Mrs. Fred Hicks of Bai Antonio attended a Book Review by Miss Lucille Williamson in Valley Mills. Visits include E W Hallmark in China Springs and Mrs Troy Baxter in Dublin. Teachers and families from Salem and Meridian were weekend guests. Services for Mrs Cartig Odie held at Valley Mills Baptist Church. Residents move to new homes and extended visits to Waco, Clifton, and Dallas areas noted.
