Motorists praised by chief for careful storm driving
Clifton chief Homer Waller commended motorists for cautious driving during last week’s snowstorm. One accident occurred at 5th and Ave E on Thursday afternoon causing about 200 dollars damage. A break in at Erickson Feed Mill netted six to seven dollars in change Friday. In 1972 Clifton reported 18 injuries from automobile accidents, with December the worst month at 15 incidents due to a severe ice storm.

All mothers of members of the high school football teams are urged to attend a meeting tonight to plan the annual grid banquet. The gathering is at the old high school building at seven p.m. All mothers are invited and urged to attend.
Make Up Days Set After Last Week Storm
School days lost due to last week's storm will be made up with one day added to the end of the year or taken from the December vacation. Absenteeism ranged from 6.5 to 11 percent as cold, snow, and ice disrupted classes. A third make up day may be required and the new high school opening date remains undecided.

Dr. Brock Heads to Yemen Medical Mission

After training in electronics and medicine, he will join a five acre facility serving 5 000 to 10 000 locals with three physicians and four nurses on staff. County Chairman Attends Inaugural Festivities in Austus Week
