The bank paid its usual regular dividend as it has since start up. collections were very good and the bank’s financial position is reported as strong by the Banking Department.

Funeral services for Mrs Florence Parke Mtandefer were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Meridian Baptist Church in Meridian with Rev. Kirchieer and Rev. Nation officiating. Interment followed in Meridian cemetery. Surviving are her husband J. W. Stamdeter and several relatives including Nat Parks of San Antonio and Parks of Water Valley. Born in Lexington, she moved to Waco and was well known in the area. Sympathy to the bereaved family is requested by the Record.

She married J A Brewer January 26 and leaves several children and relatives in Temple Orange Clifton and Ware Texas. A member of the Eastern Star she lived in Howyoe County thirty one years and was active in church and community affairs. Her passing leaves a vacancy in family and local life.
