Bosque County Christmas CD sale raises four charity donations
Four Bosque County charities receive oversized checks from proceeds of the 2010 Christmas CD produced by local talent. Mechelle Slaughter and Phyllis Gamble presented the donations at Something's Brewing with Matt and Miriam Wallace of Wallace Light and Sound Productions, noting community support and holiday songs on the CD.

Accidental shooting kills four year old in Crawfits Gap
On January 8 2011 at about 3 p m the Bosque County Sheriff Office and North Bosque EMS were dispatched to a residence on County Road 4195 in Crawfills Gap for a child injury involving a firearm. A four year old girl Ila Coble was accidentally shot in the face at the family residence.

Animal Control Officer Corey Woosley works to curb loose dogs in Clifton and assist with kennel renovations. Clifton police arrested three suspects in a Dec. 29 burglary spree, naming Beau Tyree Zetzsche aged 19 and two 17 year olds.

Drug Lab Busted in Meridian Bosque County
Bosque County Sheriff Anthony Malott reports a meth lab bust in Meridian on January 7 2011. Jeremy Williams and Marcos Anaya were arrested for manufacturing and possession of meth within 1000 feet of a school after deputies located the site in a back room of a local business. The owners consented to entry. deputies contained a cook risking an explosion. Both men jailed on 50000 bond.

Burn Ban Repealed After Rainy Bosque County Meeting
Bosque County Commissioners Court on Monday January 10 repealed the burn ban from the prior meeting. The court approved tax refunds to First American R E Tax Services and deeded 143 acres of CR Lobo Street to the new owners of A J's Market to clear sign lines. They accepted an Indigent Defense Grant and approved interlocal agreements with West Shore Koppers ISD and Hill and Bosque County. Pattillo Brown Hill LLP not approved for the 2010 audit, bids sought instead. Gravel purchase approved from Robert Senter. 2011 salary grievance committee named with four members and alternates. Deputy Martin designated for permanent courthouse security. Fourteen holidays for 2011 were approved.
