Bosque County officials were sworn in January 1 1971 in a ceremony led by County Judge EF W Fibber McGee and County Clerk Mrs Jimmy Gill. Taree Hurt in two Separate One-Car Wrecks

Prescher Signs to Play for Baylor Bears
Kilgore College halfback Wayne Prescher announced plans to attend Baylor University and play for the Fightin Bears in 1971.
