The Meridian News notes several school assignments for Miss Mattie Sue Lomax and others, plus Mrs. Sam McCluskey with Dr. J M Gore and Belton’s move with Hughes. One of the season’s most brilliant weddings united Miss Leah Townsend and Gustave D. Grimland on January 3 at the bride’s mother's home in West Clifton. The ceremony featured a bridal chorus, violin interlude, and a ribbon aisle as Rev. James F. Hardie united the couple. Reflections and refreshments followed with musical numbers by local ladies and a cake cutting before the couple takes residence in their cottage home.
Under governor appoint, W H Dory calls a Bosque county meeting of farmers bankers merchants and professionals at Meridian court house. The gathering is set for 10 o clock AM January 12 1912 to discuss farming industry betterment and coordinated effort.
Wednesday night the Rebecca Lodge of Clifton hosted a turkey supper then installed officers led by Mrs. H. H. Killian as Noble Grand and Miss Ethel White as worthy grand. After adjournment the Subordinate Lodge installed Geo. Townley as noble grand L. L. Duke as secretary and J. R. Jones as treasurer.

Deid at his home a few miles west of Norse on Wednesday of this week Mr Mrn Jensen. He was buried Thursday at Norse in the presence of a large concourse of neighbors and friends who had known him for many years.
Scandinavian Lutheran Church announces services in Norwegian next Sunday at 10 45 am with Sunday School as usual All are cordially welcome to attend.
The pastor invites all to begin 1912 with worship in a welcoming church celebrating Missionary Sunday at the eight eight. A cold Wednesday prayer meeting drew a dozen hardy attendees, and the note hopes for full attendance and broad giving next week.
Morning Sunday school at 9 45 with preaching at 11 and 7 15 pm. Special music planned for both services. All members urged to attend the morning service where explanations of church causes for the coming year will be given to boost participation and share.
