August Nicolie Carlson aged 80 died at his home in Cranfills Gap. Born in Stange Norway in 1804 he came to America at 18 and settled in Texas. He married Ingeborg Wold March 24, 1900 and had eight children. survived by his wife, five children, 18 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the St. John Lutheran Church in Cranfills Gap with Rev J Ue McAken of Fort Worth officiating. Memorial gifts were requested to St. John Lutheran Memorial Fund.
