Pre-Holiday Burglaries Investigated By Sheriff
County Sheriff John O Baxter investigated two burglaries last week. Four suspects were charged and appeared before Justice of the Peace Horace Whitley with $1,000 bonds, later released on recognizance. Suspects named Jimmy Ray Thompson 18 Michael James Williams 18 Lacey Ann Parenti 18 Jerm Smith 18, Morgan residents.

The Bosque County Clifton Rotary Club will host public CPR programs this month stressing rescue breathing. A 30 minute color film New Pulse of Life and closed chest massage with Resusci-Anne will be shown. CVFD Responds To Three Calls During Christmas Holiday
Clifton Volunteer Fire Department responded to three calls during the Christmas period. A brush fire sent them to J. C. Lyers place on Christmas. A blaze at Oliver Hanson House in Cranfills Gap prompted a Friday response. On Saturday they went to a State Highway 6 residence fire.

Woman Hurt in Vehicle Accident at Stace Highway 6
A Meridian woman, Freda Ida Herzog, 1962 two door hardtop, suffered lacerations and bruises in a collision at 11:30 am December 24 at Stace Highway 6 and West 3rd St. She was treated and released from Goodall-Witcher Foundation Hospital. Jerry McDowell Crook drove the 1972 pickup damaged in the crash. the driver was uninjured. Two male juveniles questioned were released to parents as juvenile court action possible after theft of about 200 dollars from Clifton Elementary School. about 135 dollars recovered with bank bags.

Tarleton Nursing Students Gain On-Job Training Here
Tarleton State University nursing students may train at Goodall-Witcher Foundation Hospital and others this fall or winter. The Texas Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners will vote in May to approve the program. The initiative aims to curb rural nurse shortages by offering a multiple-entry, multiple-exit course producing nurses aides, L VNs, and RNs.
