Suspect in Leather Shop Burglary Under Test
A county jail inmate on an unrelated charge is a prime suspect in the leather shop burglary. He underwent a lie detector test and evidence has been sent to the DPS crime lab in Austin. Authorities believe the 19 saddles and 31 pairs of boots may be hidden or will need an accomplice to move them. A second suspect remains under investigation for the Bell's Food Market burglary with no arrests made as of press time.

Mrs. C. G. Bronstad Dies in Local Hospital
Olena Bronstad of Clifton died Saturday at the local hospital. Funeral services were held Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church Clifton with Rev. Erwin Knitt officiating. Burial followed in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. A complete obituary will be published next week.

Girl Dies After Battle With Rare Viral Syndrome
A Midland girl died after contracting Reyes syndrome, treated with an artificial respirator flown from a Houston hospital by a Gulf Oil aircraft.
