Clifton Native Named Principal of New Arlington Junior High
Otis Toby Pederson, son of Otto C. Pederson of Clifton, will be principal of the new J. C. Ferguson Junior High School in Arlington next fall. He is currently vice principal at Emma Ousley Junior High and was chosen at Tuesday’s Board of Education meeting. Pederson, 47, a Clifton native with degrees from North Texas State and SMU, has past coaching and principal experience in Corsicana and Ennis, and serves at First Methodist Church. He and his wife have three children and he has led Civil Defense courses for PTA groups.

February meeting of Wes leyan Service Guild at Clifton
The Wes leyan Service Guild of the First Methodist Church met February 12 at Mrs. W. H. McCown’s home in Clifton. Mrs. Tharp led the Latin America study, read Psalm 138, and presented the film The Seeds of Progress on Brazil’s youth clubs. Marvin Behnke, recently discharged, plans to return to Clifton Mercantile March 1.
