The Eastern Star gathering at Clifton drew representatives from all ten chapters with about 101 in attendance. Eight Grand State certificates were awarded to Clifton Indies, and a hearty chicken pie dinner was served by Methodist Church ladies. The day was profitably spent with strong turnout.

Bradstreet Golden Wedding Celebrated By Family and Friends
Mr and Mrs Frank K Bradstreet marked their golden anniversary on a Tuesday evening February 18 with open house from 7 30 to 10 40. Relatives and friends registered at the Bride’s Book and the home featured white and gold flowers. The couple, married February 18 1881 in Rapport, Texas, were born in Ohio and Alabama respectively and have lived in Texas since early youth.

Lions Club Dinner Notes Clifton Fair Plans
A Clifton Lions Club dinner welcomed Rev. Walter T. Gigstad and Rev. Mack Tirman from Clifton, W. B. Holmes of Abilene, and R. Shaw of Waco. Two visitors joined as new Lions while Miss Gladys Daugherty left for Colorado. Langston Home Razed By Fire Saturday Noon
A fire at the Langston home near the wagon bridge on the old Meridian road destroyed the rock house and all household furnishings. Mrs Langston attempted to extinguish the blaze while Kurak helped but the flames trapped on the second floor. Much of the lower floor held groceries for sale and insurance was said to be minimal for the family.
