Bosque Cultural Arts Honored in Austin
A large Bosque County delegation gathered in Austin on January 31 2011 to honor local cultural arts and file the application for Clifton to become a Cultural Arts District with the Texas Commission on the Arts and Texas Cultural Trust. About 65 delegates attended the day long session meeting lawmakers and coordinating with Robb Orr on the Insee ARTS page.

Cat clinic deems successful in Clifton area drive
Jeri Cole of Brazos River Rescue Ranch called the February 6 low cost spay and neuter clinic a success with 92 cats and kittens at the event and 89 cats trapped in Clifton over three weeks. A follow up clinic is planned February 27 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Trading Post on Hwy 174 between Blum and Kopperl. a $25 donation is requested, but no cat is turned away. Johnny's Place in Clifton Freshens Up With Renovations
Johnny's Place owner Johnny Miller says the Clifton dining spot has undergone a full face lift. Walls floors and exterior updated, kitchen cleaned, new doors windows and chairs, and a new central HVAC system installed. A soft serve machine arrives with plans for a revised menu as weather permitting exterior painting.
