The Clifton PTA A will meet on Wednesday February 16 1944 at 445 PM in the school cafeteria. The program by Eighth Grade students directed by Mrs C R Jansom and Mrs EB Harris includes Play For the Duration Song of Peace and an Accordion Sale by Margaret Busth. Last Sunday visitors included Clark Jenson and daughter Dianne from Houston with Lt Alfred J Jenson and son Bennett from Sherman. Mrs John Keeling joined as a new paid subscriber adding to the Records list.

Arnell Julian Larson of Clifton is killed when a belt pulls him into a mill machine at Clifton Milling Company on a Friday afternoon. He dies about an hour after being rushed to the hospital. Larson, born near Clifton on July 20 191%, leaves a wife Opal Lee Young and three children James Owen Arnell, Naren Sue. his mother Anna Larson. and brothers and sisters Clifford, Holt, J. Lid, Elmer, Lee, Milford, Pernell, and Jeanice Mae. Funeral services were held at the family home and Trinity Lutheran Church with interment in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. The community mourns a respected figure, a longtime mill employee.
