She holds a bachelor from Texas State College for Women and a master's from Columbia University and has won city state and national prizes in art contests plus the 1938 textile design medal. She chaired Fort Worth Art Teachers Association and held Delta Kappa Gamma membership.

Death of James H. Knight at Glen Rose
James H. Knight of Glen Rose died Tuesday evening January 26 1804 at age 78. Funeral services were held January 28 at 1 o clock conducted by Rev J D Palmer of Market Texas. Knight was a Cranfills Gap citizen and longtime editor of The News. He leaves two sisters one stepfather and many nieces and nephews.

Short Course To Be Held In Two Sections
College Station Texas Farmers Short Course will be split into two sections this year one for 4-H Club members and one for adults. The 4-H section runs July 6 7 8 and the adult section July 12 14 18 according to H H Williamson director of the Extension Service. The change aims to accommodate more farm people as past sessions drew about 5 000 attendees while rooms and meals limited to 3 800 to 4 000. About a thousand from nearby areas commuted daily, and organizers hope for capacity around 6 000 with improved facilities.
