Bosque County Court backs camp road work funding and bans outdoor burning
During the regular session on Monday December 27 the Bosque County Commissioners Court approved an informal agreement with Camp John Marc to allow fundraising and hiring of an independent contractor for road work on CR 1110 and CR 1105 with county labor and equipment support if needed. The court also approved paying claims salaries and precinct funds totaling 85 658 dollars and established a 5000 dollar Economic Development grant for Bosque County Art Economic Development. A 90 day outdoor burning ban was adopted with exceptions and welding safety provisions including fire monitors water on site and minimum water supplies to mitigate wildfire risk amid drought and severe weather.

Public sale on courthouse steps nets single winning bid
A Bosque County public auction on December seven at Meridian saw three levied properties offered to settle tax debts to Meridian Independent School District and the City of Meridian. Only one property, a red brick building beside Meridian Locker Plant, sold for eight thousand four hundred seventy dollars. Remaining two parcels include a Meridian town site and a Lake Whitney lot, to be closed with further written bids as losses to creditors.
