On December 23, 1927, Marshall Ratliff and three ex convicts robbed First National Bank of Cisco wearing Santa disguises. A woman and daughter entering the lobby triggered chaos as shots rang out. The gang fled, two hid in woods, others captured or killed. Helms and Ratliff executed. Hill jailed for 99 years. Davis died battered. Hill survived with a prison term. Bobby Hill vanished after a name change. a reward went unpaid.
