Meridian resident and Bosque County dentist Dr Edward Callahan died December 25 in Clifton Goodall and Witcher Clinic Hospital after months of illness. Born December 31 1893 in Titusville Pennsylvania he practiced with Dr Carl R Bryenton and married Pauline Hill in 1920. Survived by his wife two sisters and several nephews. Funeral December 27 at Bristol Funeral Home Meridian Episcopal rites with interment in Meridian Cemetery.

Mrs. O C Anderson became a local hospital patient December 26 and remained there midweek. Odessa Colvert of Cleburne visited Clifton to spend Christmas with her son George Colvert and family. Ralph Bradley of Iredell, a vocational agriculture teacher, has been a Clifton hospital patient since December 26. Elaine Bakke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Bakke and a Texas Lutheran College student, spent Christmas and New Year holidays at home.
