The City Council presents Clifton residents with the new city light plant in operation for the holidays. It urges all taxpayers to patronize the municipal plant to keep taxes low, promising minimum monthly charges of $2.00 and 20 cents per kilowatt with discounts for higher usage. Miss Ollie Olson daughter of Dr and Mrs O Olson wed Roland Winfield Slate of Dallas at 12:30 Sunday afternoon. Reg J in Spears read the service with only immediate family present. The church featured ferns and chrysanthemums. The bride wore taupe crepe canton trimmed with fur and carried white roses. Attendant Mrs RL Welborn. After a wedding trip to San Antonio and other southern cities the couple will reside in Dallas.
Clarency Kellum visited town Saturday from Star route residence to extend his old family paper by another year. SS Mehaney who moved to Cis po with family recently had a year added to the Record delivered to his new address this week.

Olson announces in January that he will enter the radio business by building custom-built sets authorized to serve Browning Drake Erle Acme Bremer-Tully Harkness Counterflex and Ambassador circuits.
