Jim McFadden aged about seventy seven died at his home in Bur Arthur Tuesday after a long illness. Funeral services were held in Fort Arthur on Wednesday with interment in the local cemetery. He was a member of the McFadden family with siblings Mrs. J. K. Prott and Charlie McFadden of this city. Friends throughout the county mourn his passing.

John Homerstad a long time resident of Nowre community died Tuesday December 15 after two weeks confined to bed. He was born September 22, 1849 in Norway and lived over 76 years. The funeral was held at the Camerton residence in North Clitvom with interment at Oak Cemetery. relations and friends expressed sympathy to his bereaved family.
The Presbyterian church at Clifton plans a Christmas program featuring anthems and carols with readers on Sunday night December 27. A free will offering will be taken to fund next year’s subscription and other church activities.
