Christmas Parties Planned by Clifton Firms and Institutions
Clifton manufacturers and local firms schedule annual Christmas celebrations. The Community Public Service Co. Central Division hosts a 6:00 pm supper at the National Guard Armory with 55 to 60 employees and 76 children, followed by Santa gifts. Sunset Home conducts an 7:00 pm staff supper at First Methodist Educational Building with 80 employees, gifts, and an inter church program. Wilson Building Materials plans a 7:00 pm party for about 239 people at the National Guard Armory, including a tree and Santa. Clifton Mercantile, Keeling's, and Goodall and Witcher Clinic Hospital also stage dinners or suppers with trees and gift exchanges. Clif-Tex Manufacturing concludes with a 1:00 pm dinner and gift exchange.

Frank Youree Dies In Dallas
Funeral services for William Frank Youree 66 of Dallas were held December 11 at Sparkman Garland Road Chapel with burial in Grove Hill Cemetery. He founded a Dallas sign company and earlier worked in poultry and eggs in Clifton. He played minor league baseball in the 1930s and was past president of the Texas Poultry and Egg Association. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, his mother, three sisters, and two grandchildren.

Clifton High School Band will present a Christmas Concert at 7 30 P M on December 20 in Trinity Lutheran Church sanctuary. Junior high and high school students will perform The program features eleven pieces by composers such as Handel Mozart Bach Yon and Grundman with arrangements by Walters Hauser Caillier and Marcelli. About 55 students participate in the event and a daytime performance is planned at Sunset Home.
