Former Clifton Citizen James M Brooke Dies in Dallas
James M Brooke 62 a Clifton founder and longtime druggist died at his Dallas home. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Guardian Forest Home with Dr. Gouge W Truett and Dr J B Cranford officiating. Burial followed at Laurel Land Memorial Park with Knights of Pythias in charge. Survivors include Mrs Wil and others. He moved to Dallas after a career in Bosque County and helped shape Clifton city government.

Myra Cox McKay Nelson born October 15 1906 Cox’s Creek Kentucky died December 2 in Hillcrest Memorial Hospital Waco Texas. She married Charles Robert Nelson September 8 1905 Hope Arkansas and lived in Clifton. A longtime Sunday School teacher and youth worker she joined First Baptist Bardstown and later the Methodist Church in Clifton serving in BTU and Young People’s work. Continues on Page Four.
