Clifton Bride Weds in First Baptist Church Ceremony
Miss Susan Goodall Witcher and Ronny Gene Thomas were married at 7:30 p.m. Saturday August 26 in Clifton at the First Baptist Church. The bride, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Seth Witcher, wore a peau de soie gown with alencon lace and a Brussels lace cathedral veil, and attendants wore pink gowns with matching headpieces. The ceremony featured organist Dr. Robert Markham and solos by Nancy Swenson and H. K. Rucker. A reception followed in the church Educational Building with elaborate floral displays and a four-tier cake. After a wedding trip, the couple will reside at Baylor University in Waco where both plan to continue studies.
