Chapman Ranch cattle operations and field day notes
Chapman Ranch plans deliveries of most heifer calves soon after unloading at the farm. Buyers include Leroy Bagley of Henderson purchasing five heifers and Boston Smith of Fort Worth paying 1500 dollars for a bull calf. The Chapman herd totals 205 registered Hereford cows with 176 calves weaned for an 86 percent drop. Calves typically arrive in December and a field day and barbecue impressed attendees with the operation, food, and hospitality.
