Fifteen Million Bales Of Cotton to Handle

Government estimates this year crop at fifteen million bales with a four million bale surplus from last year, totaling nineteen million bales to market. The A and M College of Texas and U S Agriculture Bureau set up grading stations to improve quality, saving $10 to $40 per bale. Training costs $30 and takes four to six weeks. applications are invited by Tyler Commercial College.

Women plan hostess house for Quantico Marines

Two women are entrusted with planning and supervising the building of a hostess house for the entertainment of marines wives mothers and friends. The YWCA will erect it this summer at Quantico Virginia. The building contract will be placed once architect Miss Katherine Budd and supervisor Miss Gertrude Mayo return from the national war council meeting in New York City.
