Debate tournament and oratorical at Clifton College

The Texas Junior College debate tournament and oratorical contest will be held at Clifton College on Friday April 26. Elite junior college delegates from across the state will compete for honors, with Weatherford College and Clifton College standout winners in the women and men divisions respectively. The evening program will feature oratorical content, followed by a Magazine Club meeting discussing study topics such as Woman Suffrage and property issues in Texas. Refreshments and wrap gifts were provided, and club members listed include Mrs. O. Lee Stuart and others. The club adjourned for the summer.

Sunday School Training Session Opens in Clifton Area

County churches invite residents to enroll in a district wide Sunday School training program. Courses include Organization and of the Sunday School and The Missionary Message of Bible. Books will be sold Sunday afternoon at Clive Mall and at the parsonage. Enrollment closes Sunday at 2 90 pm. Evening sessions run Monday to Friday. Clergy note the program as a fine opportunity for religious education.
