T O Prather Dies in State Confederate Home

Thomas Prather born August 9, 1847, died April 16, 1929, after years as Clifton photographer. He lived at the State Confederate Home in Austin, survived by two sons Walter E. and Junius M. Prather and two daughters Anna Burke and Willie Flowers, with grandchildren. Funeral from Junius M. Prather’s Clifton home, led by Elder G E McCaleb, interment in Clifton cemetery.

Womack School Set to Close with Six Month Term

The Womack school ends April 26 ending a six month term. Final exams start Monday morning and grades will affect the yearly average. Thursday we hold grammar grade graduation with elementary diplomas awarded to Leroy Boeler Chester McDougal Augusta Steinke Alice Schwartz Gracie Conrad and Talita Conrad. Gracie Conrad posts the highest grade and Talita Conrad the second highest. Supt. W D Raley delivers the commencement address. Friday morning features a short school program and baseball games in the afternoon.
