Raymond Hamilton's Big Brother Breaks Out Of Alcatraz
The Texas outlaw Floyd Hamilton helped his brother Raymond escape Alcatraz on April 14, 1943. The one time escape plot involved smuggled pistols, a sawed bar window, a perilous San Francisco Bay swim, and a gunfight that left Boarman dead. Floyd later endured a long pursuit before recapture, while Raymond faced execution after earlier crimes with Bonnie Parker and Clyde.
