May Day Senior Citizens Month Observed in Crawfills Gap
May designated Senior Citizen Month. Crawfills Gap Senior Citizens will host a covered dish luncheon May 3 at St Olaf Lutheran Church dining room with a high blood pressure check for area seniors. Local residents visited relatives, attended weddings, baptisms, and anniversaries in Clifton, West, Belton, and Waco as families gathered for celebrations and travel.

Clifton Junior High Cubettes Place In Meridian Track Meet
Clifton Junior High Cubettes sent 9 seventh and 11 eighth graders to Meridian for a track meet with 13 schools. China Spring won with 119 points, Meridian was second at 88, Clifton totaled 105. Clifton led field events with 44 points and earned 61 in running events with multiple top placements including Culp and Rowe earning firsts in sprints and relays.
