Man Receives Knife Wounds in Valley Main Fight

In Valley Main on Tuesday night young Locklear was slashed in the stomach with a knife by Robert Wharton. Locklear was rushed to a hospital and reported recovering Wednesday morning. Wharton was killed on the charge by a grand jury after the fight between Wharton and Locklear’s father over a rope issue led to the deadly confrontation.

The Clifton Independent School District voted last Saturday to elect trustees for a three year term. Only one change occurred, Fred W. Nelvon replacing L. Stuart. Voter turnout was light with the judge John Fullagr noting most ballots between six and seven. several entries were disqualified. Clifton Citizen Dies At Gatesville
